Verified educational authority
The initial education offering is for eligible students age 13 or older, focusing on high school and college. Under-13 managed accounts and PearaByte-hosted child sync are unavailable. An administrator checkbox, verified school authority or a purchase cannot enable them. Future under-13 school-hosted profiles need a separate reviewed service before launch.
Educational purpose
School authorization applies only to the reviewed educational service and the product access assigned by the school. It does not authorize unrelated advertising, unrelated commercial use, or administrative access to a student's separate personal PearaByte account.
Age classification
Schools normally provide only the minimum age classification needed for policy, currently 13–15, 16–17 or 18+, rather than a student's exact date of birth. A specific legal or contractual requirement may require additional information later.
Platform and guardian signals
Google, Apple or store parental approval may authorize installation or platform use, but it is not automatically treated as blanket PearaByte consent for child cloud-data processing. Product-use and account-data authority remain separately scoped.
Parents and students
The school must give required notices about the selected educational service and a route for parent/student access, correction, withdrawal and deletion requests. PearaByte also accepts privacy requests at support@pearabyte.com and verifies the requester's authority before disclosing or changing student information. School authority is limited to the educational use; a student's separate personal cloud account requires its own age eligibility and current documents. We do not offer guardian approval to enroll under-13 personal accounts.
School responsibilities
The school is responsible for its authority to enroll students, required notices and permissions, appropriate staff access, accurate age classifications, timely account removal, and any obligations that apply to its educational use.

Regional requirements and privacy choices
Account and cloud availability, age requirements, required residence information and parent or school authority depend on the product and applicable country/state rules. An available country selector is not an announcement that account services or purchases have launched there. Our stated launch offering remains in effect until we announce an additional region.
Terms acceptance establishes the applicable service agreement. A privacy acknowledgment confirms that the notice was presented; it is not blanket consent for optional processing or permission to collect a child's data. Where processing requires a separate consent, that choice must concern the stated purpose and can be withdrawn. Purchasing Pro, store parental permission or school sign-in does not provide that separate authority.
You can contact support@pearabyte.com about applicable access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, portability or consent-withdrawal rights and help with a privacy complaint. This includes Mexico's applicable access, rectification, cancellation and opposition (ARCO) rights. Rights and response requirements depend on the applicable law. We verify identity or authority before disclosing another person's information; privacy help does not require Pro, a new purchase or acceptance of revised terms.
Organization authority applies only to its separate managed identity and approved service. School authority must cover the educational purpose and applicable jurisdiction; it does not authorize unrelated commercial use or access to a separate personal account. Published notices do not themselves establish a school's authority, an international transfer arrangement or age verification.
