Scope and instructions
PearaByte processes organization-managed account information to provide the PearaByte products, identity, security, support and administration functions selected by the organization. Product-specific processing remains bounded by the applicable product and organization configuration.
Organization responsibilities
The organization is responsible for having appropriate authority to provision managed users, providing required notices, choosing lawful account roles and product access, and avoiding submission of data that is not needed for the service.
Security
PearaByte uses access controls, authenticated administration, session revocation, password hashing, scoped product access and audit records to protect managed-account data. Security incidents are handled through PearaByte operational and support processes.
Subprocessors and infrastructure
OVHcloud provides hosting and Resend provides transactional email. Product-specific notices identify additional providers used for a particular product or transaction. A personal sign-in, paid subscription or store approval does not authorize unrelated processing of student data. The organization must review the actual selected product, its providers and its educational purpose before enrolling students.
Purpose and model training
School-authorized student information is used for the selected educational service, account security and authorized support. School authority does not authorize advertising, sale of student information, unrelated commercial use or general-purpose AI model training. A new processing purpose needs its own lawful authority and any required notice or consent before it begins.
Deletion and return
The organization can suspend managed access and request return, correction or deletion of managed account and product data through support. These requests do not require a current paid tier. Suspension alone does not erase data. Local, exported or independently retained recipient copies cannot be remotely erased. Recovery backups have operator-managed retention; deletion from active records does not immediately remove every recovery copy. A school-specific contract must identify any additional return, deletion, retention and incident-notification obligations before the service is used with students.

Regional requirements and privacy choices
Account and cloud availability, age requirements, required residence information and parent or school authority depend on the product and applicable country/state rules. An available country selector is not an announcement that account services or purchases have launched there. Our stated launch offering remains in effect until we announce an additional region.
Terms acceptance establishes the applicable service agreement. A privacy acknowledgment confirms that the notice was presented; it is not blanket consent for optional processing or permission to collect a child's data. Where processing requires a separate consent, that choice must concern the stated purpose and can be withdrawn. Purchasing Pro, store parental permission or school sign-in does not provide that separate authority.
You can contact support@pearabyte.com about applicable access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, portability or consent-withdrawal rights and help with a privacy complaint. This includes Mexico's applicable access, rectification, cancellation and opposition (ARCO) rights. Rights and response requirements depend on the applicable law. We verify identity or authority before disclosing another person's information; privacy help does not require Pro, a new purchase or acceptance of revised terms.
Organization authority applies only to its separate managed identity and approved service. School authority must cover the educational purpose and applicable jurisdiction; it does not authorize unrelated commercial use or access to a separate personal account. Published notices do not themselves establish a school's authority, an international transfer arrangement or age verification.
