Account age and local use
Personal and organization-managed PearaByte accounts require age 13 or older, or a higher applicable product or regional minimum. Personal guardian enrollment and school-managed under-13 accounts are unavailable at initial launch. School approval, a purchase or platform app approval cannot override this restriction.
Neural Notes and PearStead allow basic local use without an account where platform rules permit. Local content and mandatory platform verification or parental-permission requirements still apply. Do not create an adult account for a child or upload a child's information through another account to bypass the restriction.
The initial school offering focuses on eligible high school and college students. School/work identities remain separate from personal identities and use age bands rather than exact DOB by default. School-created under-13 profiles and school-hosted sync are future options, not current services.
An entered birth date is self-declared; a platform age range can also be declared or parent-provided. School SSO, an email domain or a payment does not establish verified age or educational authority. School use requires current organization terms, privacy acknowledgment, data-processing terms and education-use requirements.
Contact support@pearabyte.com about a child's information, review, deletion or stopping further collection. No paid plan or account is required. We verify identity or authority before disclosing another person's information. Do not send identity documents or unnecessary sensitive child information with your initial request.

U.S. launch availability
Our launch offering is limited to residents of the United States. Please do not create an account or make a new purchase if you reside outside the United States. Existing customers can still contact support about their data, account or billing. This launch scope does not limit rights you have under applicable law.
Local use and your household
You can organize inventory, shopping, recipes, meals, schedules, requests and reminders locally without an account. You are responsible for the information you enter, the accuracy of your entries, the devices and exports you control, and the people you invite to a household. Do not enter another person's private information without appropriate permission or parental authority.
A household organizer is not a medical service. Allergy and dietary notes, barcode suggestions, product information, reminders and meal plans do not establish ingredient safety or replace product labels and professional advice. Check current labels and information independently before making a safety decision.
Account connection and cloud features
Connecting a PearaByte account does not itself upload household content. A household owner with PearStead Pro can choose to enable cloud synchronization and backups; invited members do not need their own Pro subscription for that household. Cloud backups are separate snapshots. Internet access and a working account are needed for cloud features, and an offline change may not appear on another device until synchronization succeeds.
The owner controls the households they create and can invite or remove members using the available household controls. Authorized members can read shared household information, including member profiles and allergy notes. Assigning a shopping or inventory item to a member does not make it private. An invitation does not itself establish parental consent. Review membership and the information you share before enabling cloud features.
Cloud households, sync and remote alerts require eligible accounts age 13 or older. Under-13 account use is unavailable at initial launch. A household invitation or requester role cannot override this restriction. Basic local use remains available where platform rules permit.
People who receive information may retain local or exported copies. Removing a member, stopping sync or deleting cloud data does not remotely erase copies already held by another person. Do not rely on the service as your only copy of important household information; use the app's local archive export when you need a separate copy, and protect that file.
Your content and permitted processing
You keep your rights in household content you create. When you choose cloud features, you authorize PearaByte to host, transmit, back up, display to authorized household members and otherwise process that content to provide those features, subject to the privacy notices and your household settings. Make sure you have the rights and authority needed to share the content you add. Do not use PearStead to violate another person's privacy, access a household without permission, abuse invitations or bypass security and service limits.
Pro access and purchases
Public PearStead downloads and Pro purchases are not available through this website yet. If a purchase channel becomes available, the offer and checkout will show its price, billing period, renewal and cancellation terms before a purchase. Purchases made through an app store are also subject to that store's payment and refund rules. Ending sync, signing out, uninstalling or deleting cloud content does not by itself cancel an active subscription; use the applicable store's subscription controls or contact support about the billing channel. Pro expiry stops new cloud writes rather than immediately deleting saved cloud backups.
Data controls and service changes
Household archives provide local export. The owner can manage cloud snapshots in the app, including retained-backup deletion after Pro expires. PearStead cloud-data deletion removes owned cloud households, snapshots, invitations and household access without deleting the shared PearaByte account or Neural Notes data, and signs the account out on all devices. It does not erase local or exported files or other owners' households. Full account deletion affects connected PearaByte products. Review those pages before requesting deletion.
We may change features and these terms as PearStead develops. Material changes will be identified here or through an appropriate product or account channel. Any advance notice or consent required by applicable law still applies. The effective date above identifies this version; publication of a new version does not retroactively change an earlier agreement.
Questions and support
Contact support@pearabyte.com with questions about PearStead, billing or your data. You can raise a privacy request without a PearaByte account, including a request concerning a child's information or your information in another person's household. We may verify identity or authority before disclosing or changing another person's information.
Regional requirements and privacy choices
Account and cloud availability, age requirements, required residence information and parent or school authority depend on the product and applicable country/state rules. An available country selector is not an announcement that account services or purchases have launched there. Our stated launch offering remains in effect until we announce an additional region.
Terms acceptance establishes the applicable service agreement. A privacy acknowledgment confirms that the notice was presented; it is not blanket consent for optional processing or permission to collect a child's data. Where processing requires a separate consent, that choice must concern the stated purpose and can be withdrawn. Purchasing Pro, store parental permission or school sign-in does not provide that separate authority.
You can contact support@pearabyte.com about applicable access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, portability or consent-withdrawal rights and help with a privacy complaint. This includes Mexico's applicable access, rectification, cancellation and opposition (ARCO) rights. Rights and response requirements depend on the applicable law. We verify identity or authority before disclosing another person's information; privacy help does not require Pro, a new purchase or acceptance of revised terms.
Organization authority applies only to its separate managed identity and approved service. School authority must cover the educational purpose and applicable jurisdiction; it does not authorize unrelated commercial use or access to a separate personal account. Published notices do not themselves establish a school's authority, an international transfer arrangement or age verification.
